LEGO Party

General Information

LEGO parties are suitable for almost any age. Age-appropriate games are played and food options can be supplied on request. We have different party options with varying prices and add-ons, designed to suit any budget. 

How long?

Parties are planned as a 2 hour party, with the LEGO activities accounting for 1½ hours of that time. We lead the children through a variety of structured activities. Our party organisers arrive about 10 minutes before they need to start the LEGO activities. We suggest the activities take place at the beginning of the party. Then there is time for eats and cake at the end of the party. 

Note: The DUPLO Crazy Build party is only 1 hour long.

Where is it held?

There are two options of venues for our parties. Prices quoted are the full cost for the party and venue hire. Parties currently only run in and around Cape Town.

Option 1: At your home

Price for 1-12 children:   R 1 400

Additional R50 per child over 12 children up to the maximum for that party

Option 2: Kiddiwinks Venue

Price for 1-12 children:   R 1 800

Currently using: Scallywags Play Cafe, 44 Belvedere Rd

Additional R80 per child over 12 children up to the maximum for that party

How many children?

The number of children is dependent on the type of party. This is noted under each party.

To ensure we plan the right number of party organisers, we require as close a number for booking as you can give. Final numbers are to be confirmed no later than three days before the party. Numbers can change by 3 either way from the original booking.

If younger siblings and their friends at the party are going to be present, they need to be included in the numbers. If they are too young for the recommended age of the party, we suggest not including them as part of the party as extra time needs to be spent with them and the party organisers can't focus on the party.

What do you get?

• Use of all the LEGO needed for the party activity (usually over R15 000 worth of LEGO).
• Tried and tested organised activities, supervised by our party staff. We plan and do the activities.
• Birthday child gets a gift (one gift per party).
• Each child at the party will get a LEGO minifigure as a prize.

Note: The Star Wars and Friends parties can have alternative prizes.

Recommendations for the party

• Start with the LEGO building.
• The fewer parents are around, the more the children participate.
• Keep the sweets and sugar-filled eats until after the LEGO building.
• Keep food away from the building area.
• Have a drinks break half-way through the activity if it is a hot day.
• Prizes to be kept and only opened at home.

Arrival and Setup

• We need about 10 minutes to set up for a party. 
• We need an area of 4m x 3m for 12 children.
• It is useful f there is a garden we can use for some activities.

Crazy Build

Free build with DUPLO bricks. Create cars, towers or your own construction and see whose will be the tallest, fastest or just have fun.

Free Build

Many different options exist for this party, allowing each party to be unique. This is the most popular party we have.

Wacky Wheels

Your friends will go wild creating their own Wacky Wheeled Vehicles. The party is based around cars and racing. We have different cars we bring that need to be built and raced on our special racing ramp.

LEGO Star Wars Party

Using  space-themed LEGO, this party transports everyone into outer space. Space centres, aliens, space shuttles and satellites can be built or, staying within our own atmosphere, there are the options of air traffic control towers and aeroplanes. The options are endless...

Suitable Age:  7+ years

Max Number for Party:  20 children

Additional Prize option: Star Wars prizes can be provided in place of Minifigures at an extra cost of R20 per child.

Crazy Action Contraptions

From the supercharged Speedster to the Squeezeclaw Grabber to the Wall Rocket Racer — all these contraptions spin, stretch, speed, or otherwise spring into action. Come and build these fun contraptions. All contraptions are built with instructions.

Beyond this world – Robots

An interactive hands-on party with a difference! Using laptops and the NXT LEGO Mindstorms robots, children will be able to find out how a robot really works. Working in pairs, children are guided step by step on how to program their robot to perform tasks as well as how to operate sensors such as light and touch.

LEGO Friends Party

Your friends will go wild creating their own Friends Party. The party is based around the Friends LEGO.

LEGO Man

Have the LEGO Man come to your party – R100 for 30 minutes at the party.

The LEGO man will come during the party. The LEGO man will play one game with the children and then be there for hugs and pictures.
