World Robotics Olympiad (WRO)
The World Robot Olympiad is a global LEGO Robotics competition. This event combines the world of science, engineering, technology and education. Teams of youngsters get the opportunity to develop their creative and problem solving skills through various robotics challenges. The South African leg of the World Robot Olympiad is called the National Robot Olympiad.
The Olympiad consists of the following categories:
- A regular category – The fastest robot through an obstacle course
- An open category – A robot representing a specific theme

Become part of a team:
Would you like to be part of a team. Kiddiwinks will be setting up WRO teams and providing the coach for the teams.
Coaching will only be for

Primary: 6-12 yrs
- Junior High: 13-15 yrs
- High School: 16-19 yrs
- Open Category
Based on interested the first teams will train on the following dates:
Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 4-5pm. First training starts 5 March 2013 for 10 sessions over 14 weeks
